My Password Works on philosophersnotes.com and legacy.heroic.us but Not heroic.us, Do I Need Different Logins for Each?

Yes, and here's why, plus how to find the right one for each platform.

Why this happens

If you signed up before August 2025, your original account lives on our legacy platform, legacy.heroic.us. Philosopher's Notes has its own platform too, with a separate legacy login for members who signed up before August 2025 at app.philosophersnotes.com. Meanwhile, heroic.us is our current platform, built as its own account system. So it's normal for your legacy credentials to work fine on legacy.heroic.us and app.philosophersnotes.com/legacy, while heroic.us doesn't recognize them at all.

Do you need a new heroic.us account?

Not necessarily; it depends on whether you've purchased anything through heroic.us directly. If you have, use the email and password you set up there specifically, that's a separate login from your legacy one. If you haven't purchased anything through heroic.us and don't need to right now, you likely don't need a heroic.us login at all, your legacy and PN access already covers what you're paying for.

If you're not sure which platform has what you need

Message us with what you're trying to access (Heroic Live content, Philosopher's Notes, a specific course) and roughly when you signed up. We'll point you to the right platform.

Password reset tip

If you try resetting your password anywhere, use the "Forgot Password" link on that specific platform's login page rather than resetting through a different one, since the platforms don't share reset flows either.
